Filmmaker, painter, musician, photographer. He has received three Academy Award nominations for Best Director, and has won France’s Cesar Award for Best Foreign Film twice, as well as the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, and a Golden Lion Award for Lifetime Achievement at the Venice Film Festival. Moving Images sat down to have a conversation with David Lynch.

His work has spanned across films such as 2001: A Space Odyssey to Close Encounters of the Third Kind. A pioneer in cinematography, his work continues to advance stereoscopic 3D and digital HFR imaging leading to picture and sound that are almost indistinguishable from reality.
